This policy describes what data Roast Lab collects, which in practice is very little. The site is built as static HTML with no server-side processing.

- All calculators run entirely in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted.
- Searches are processed locally in your browser against a bundled index.
Information you provide
The contact form on this site validates your input in the browser. Because Roast Lab is served as static files with no backend, form submissions are not transmitted or stored. When the newsletter field in the footer is used, the same applies: nothing is sent.
If this site is deployed with a server-side form handler in future, this policy will be updated before any data is collected, and the change will be dated at the top of this page.
Calculator inputs
Every calculation on this site - green coffee weight, roast profile estimation and extraction ratios - happens in your browser using JavaScript. The values you enter are held in memory only for as long as the page is open, are never written to storage, and are never sent anywhere.
Cookies and local storage
Roast Lab does not set cookies and does not use local storage to identify you or track you across visits. If a future version stores a preference such as a unit setting, this section will be updated to describe it precisely.
Server logs
If this site is hosted on a web server, that server may record standard access information such as IP address, request time, requested URL and browser user agent, as is normal for any web host. Roast Lab does not use these logs to identify individuals. Retention is governed by the hosting provider.
Third parties
This site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, advertising networks or analytics services. All stylesheets, scripts and artwork are served from the same origin. Illustrations are generated as vector graphics and contain no external references.
Children
This site is intended for adults. It discusses roasting equipment and caffeine consumption in a context not directed at children, and carries a 16+ notice in the footer for that reason.
Your rights
Because Roast Lab does not collect personal data through this site, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe data about you has been collected in error, use the contact page and we will investigate.
Changes to this policy
Any material change to how this site handles data will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page.
The short version: this site is a static reference library. It does not want your data, does not have a mechanism to collect it, and does not share anything with anyone. Every claim above follows from that design.
